How To Play

    Setup

Match your positive (blue) cards with your negative (red) cards to maximize your score. But be careful! The order you play the matches matters- and don’t get caught with a bunch of reds in your hand!

This game has 2 versions: basic and advanced. Start with basic until you’re comfortable, then move on to the advanced version!

  • 1. Remove “Trade”, “Steal”, and “Wild” cards.
  • 2. Keep the blue and red decks separate.
  • 3. A dealer shuffles each deck and distributes (clockwise) 5 blue and 5 red cards to each player. Don’t show other players your cards!
  • 4. Place each deck in the center of the table. Each deck has its own discard pile.

    Basic Gameplay

Match your blue cards with your red cards to create matches. Matches can only be created with corresponding values. - (Ex. <1000> must be matched to 1000

Be Careful! The order you play your matches can affect your score and don't get caught with a bunch of red cards in your hand at the end of the round.

    How to Play a Turn

The player to the left of the dealer goes first.

  • 1. Draw a blue or red card from the top of the deck OR the top card of either discard pile.
  • 2. You play matches by laying them down next to each other in front of you. You can play as many matches as you choose, on your turn. Each subsequent match is played on top of the previous match but you must swap the colors!
  • 3. A dealer shuffles each deck and distributes (clockwise) 5 blue and 5 red cards to each player. Don’t show other players your cards!
  • 4. After discarding, it is the next player’s turn and your matches (order) cannot change4. You can only add to your matches on your future turns.

    End of Round:

The round ends when a player runs out of cards in their hand. Once the round ends, you calculate the scores for that round.

    Calculating a Score

Add both stacks in front of you.

Take the number from the positive stack (Circled) and subtract any remaining red cards in-hand from that number. That new number is your final score for the round.

Play again! Add each player’s score from 3 rounds. The player with the highest score wins!

    Running out of Cards

If there are no cards left int eh blue or red decks after a player’s turn, the respective discard piles are reshuffled and the deck starts face down again.

    Advanced Version Setup:

    Trade Cards:

  • You must have a numbered card in your hand to play a Trade card.
  • 1. You must have a numbered card in your hand to play a Trade card.
  • 2. Pick another player. Each discretely passes their cards in hand that match the color of the Trade card played.
  • 3. Each player picks one numbered card of the other player’s to keep. If your target has no numbered cards, say “no trade” and each gives the cards back. You then pick another player to trade.
  • 4. After there is a trade, each passes the rest of the cards back to the original owner. If a trade is not possible from any player, go to step 5.

    Steal Cards:

  • 1. Play this card on your turn by placing it in the advanced discard pile that matches its color.
  • 2. Pick another player. That player discretely passes their cards in hand to you that match the color o the Steal card played.
  • 3. The thief takes one numbered card and hands the rest of the cards back to the victim. If the victim has no numbered cards, the thief says “no steal”, hands the cards back and chooses another player/victim.
  • 4. After there is a steal ,the victim draws form the matching color deck. If a steal si not possible from any player, the thief draws from the matching color deck.
  • You can discard Steal cards in the normal discard piles as your turn-ending discard (the color matters). In this case, no action would be taken regarding a steal and it can be picked up by other players.

    Wild Cards

You can use any blue Wild card with any red numbered card and any red Wild card with any blue numbered card to form a match.

A red Wild card is worth <10,000> if not played.

In the unlikely event you would like to discard a Wild card in the advanced discard pile, you must then draw form the same colored deck.

You can also discard Wild cards in the normal discard piles as your turn-ending discard (the color matters) and it can be picked up by other players. This is unlikely as well.

    Thank you for playing! Enjoy!
